Caleb Ness was shaken to death by dad Alexander in Edinburgh while his mother was picking up methadone. Ness killed Caleb in 2001 and was jailed for 11 years in 2003 for culpable homicide.

In Fresno, California officers arrived at the rundown home of Marcus Wesson, after his two nieces had escaped from the home and went back to try and get their children. In the bedroom police found nine bodies, ranging in age from 1-25 years old. They were each shot through the eye. The victims were all his children. Police later found out something even more disturbing. Wesson had sired the murdered kids by repeatedly raping his daughters and nieces.

Marybeth Roe Tinning, formerly of Schenectady County,NY, was arrested and convicted for the murder of her 9th child - 4 month old Tami Lynne. Between the span of 14 years she murdered all nine of her children, including one that was adopted. At the time all their deaths were blamed on SIDS, until someone questioned it when they heard that one of the SIDS victims was adopted.

The "Boy In The Box" is the name given to a john doe - an unidentified murder victim age 3to7 years old. His naked, beaten body was found in a cardboard box in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 2/25/57. His identity was never discovered and his case remains open.

The Butterbox Babies
The Ideal Maternity Home in East Chester, Nova Scotia was run by William & Lila Young. He was a chiropractor, and she called herself an obstetrician. It started as a discreet location for unwed mothers to have their babies, and then turned into them selling the babies for adoption, some couples paid up to $10,000 for a child. Sometimes there were 100's of babies for adoption. The babies who were considered unadoptable, because of their race or health issues, were left to die and buried in the woods behind the home or dumped into the ocean. They used small mitered pine butterboxes that came from the local dairy as coffins, they were the perfect size for a newborn. This is why they are referred to as "The Butterbox Babies".
